so i went to krabi on my raya holidays with my buddy...it was a sudden decision and the flight ticket was cheap, my first vacation =)
this was the resort that i stayed, a peaceful backdrop surrounded by the mountain. set u in the right mood for vacation. Just a few minutes drive from the krabi international for 500 baht.

the town is quite developed, with clinics, banks, ATM, convenient store, boutiques, restaurant, 7 eleven and even the McDonald is here. all along the street of aonang beach
ATM like is all over the place, but make sure the visa is activated for international transactions.

store like this is everywhere where they sell...well crafts, usually wood and resin. selling Buddha statues and amulet is a norm here.

day one, the snorkelling trip, cost me around 1500 baht with lunch and transport back to the resort covered. pretty good price.
the crystal clear water and the rock formation give the "avatar-like" view, the crystal clear water with colourful fishes are inviting you to dive in for a swim. and yes i did.
the boat will stop by for around 30-45 minute on a particular spot where there is nice corals spot for the snorkeling. the gears are provided.

this is the famous phi-phi island. the scuba diver's heaven, also shopping here is significantly cheaper than the ao nang.
more stall selling artwork. the rule is simple,when shopping at the stores, don't start bargain unless u really intended to buy the goods, keep bargaining to get a good price, can get a cheaper price when buy in bulk, is consider rude to left when the vendor try to give you a good price
the famous fruit pancake. where pancake is topped with fresh fruit slice and sweet condense milk, definitely should try it
this is the elephant sanctuary, at least that is what the tour agent celled it, but it look like a simple hut to me where the elephant is tie to a chain. this cost around 800 baht.
the hook is merely to give the elephant a little poke to keep them in order. they can be quite obedient. smart animal =)
met this two lovely french lady, this mom and daughter were very friendly. too friendly to be Malaysian. i feel comfortable chatting with them, although my English was not as good. Back in Malaysia, being friendly is regard as attempt to flirt.
im telling ya, the poo is as big as the dog. =O, and the pooping end with a loud and nasty fart.

this is the entrance to the tiger cave temple or the locals called it Wat Tham Sua, the name quite catchy but sorry to disappoint u, theres no big cat here.

the tiger cave temple is famous for its on top of the mountain shrine. there u go 1200 stairs for u do churn down ur calories.

finally we reach the top. the view is definitely worth the climb, i myself soak in sweat. not to mention the aching calf muscle.

in krabi, the rule of thumb is: food at the restaurant is expensive, street food are much cheaper and taste better, if u are looking forward to experience the true taste of Thailand, i suggest street food.
skewed meet, ranging from 50-70 baht,must try som tam, the thai pickle pataya and veggies..make sure u remind them not to put in chilies, their special breed chillies can make u an instant fire dragon.

my dinner,the old style charcoal oven pizza. the slice is very thin. Easily beat the dominos pizza back home =P

the local are tending badly injure cat run over by a bike, although he is are badly injured, but they still put on effort to ease its pain, i wonder what would happen to the roadkill in Malaysia
the 7 eleven had almost everything, i love them. especially their cheese croissant, a "ting" at the oven and ready to be eat. cost around 40 baht, the beer is cheap too =)
we rent a bike for 200 baht for 24 hour, and determine to hunt for cashew nut in the krabi town around 21km from Ao nang beach. their market place is alot like Malaysia. the better u know how to bargain, the better the chances of u landing on a good price.

sometimes u must dare to try on new food, this is their meat ball. kinda like the sausages.
lunch is the siew yoke rice, the pork is roast crispy to the meat, much different from what i ate before

my last meal is quite luxury, seafood is not cheap here but we planning to finish off our last baht before going back, no point of keeping the foreign currency in my wallet right?
had a few beers at the local bar, the bar is called the "bogie bar". The music is awesome and friendly bartender, even buy us a pint.
